A fishing opportunity for anyone who wants to dangle a hook in the Charlotte Harbor estuary, the fishing pier across from Captain Con's Fish House at the extreme north end of Pine Island is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and costs $5.00, with a dock master and bait available right on the dock. The sweeping views of Charlotte Harbor are especially nice in the morning; the quiet early calm serves up a taste of Florida of old for anglers and their families.
